PLANT DEWI
Plant Dewi (David's Children) was set up in response to the Children's Society's decision to cease activity in Wales. This left a large gap in the provision of facilities for families. By this time, Plant Dewi is going from strength to strength and provides valuable help to young families in local communities.
MISSION STATEMENT
"In partnership for change we work with children, young people and their families in their communities, that they may grow and strengthen in spirit and confidence. We do this that God's Kingdom may be extended and celebrated now, because it values people and helps them to achieve the wholeness that is in Christ
ACTIVITIES vary from area to area, but include:
Helping parents to enjoy their children
Helping parents cook the healthy way
Getting father's involved
Giving babies a good start
Supporting parents in the home
Bridging the parent/teenager gap
In the parish of Betws with Ammanford, there is one facility, which is the Family Centre in Betws. Reports on their activities follow.
