Our Branch was established in 1908, with 14 Founder Members. Soon afterwards, Lady Margaret Rees (Dynevor) became the President. Members were invited to afternoon tea at Dynevor Castle and served by butlers and waitresses. This continued until 1939, when the austerities of war made such events impossible. We still enjoy a cup of tea at the end of our meetings, but there are no butlers in sight!

We hold meetings on the 1st Thursday of every month at the Church Hall, Ammanford, at 7.00p.m. If you are interested in joining, please contact our Secretary. We are always glad to welcome new members.

LINK PARISH

In 2004, we linked with the Parish of Monkton in Pembrokeshire. We were fortunate to be linked with Monkton, as we already have a connection with them through the Vicar and his wife. The Reverend Martin Cox and his wife, Barbara, were both brought up in Ammanford.

We visited Monkton last year when they were holding a Flower Festival and had a fabulous tea with them. They, in turn, returned to us for our Flower Festival and joined us for tea. Both occasions were greatly enjoyed by the members.
